The House of Representatives Department of Committee Services organised a sent forth gathering in honour of the Former Director of Clerk of Committees of the department Alhja Ramatu Ahmad who had been elevated as a secretary/permanent secretary to the directorate of information and research of the National Assembly.
The occasion was attended by the Management of the House of Representatives led by the Clerk to the House of Representatives, Mr Patrick Giwa, other directors in attendance, Mr Chinedu Akubueze, Deputy Clerk House ( Adm.) Yaya Danzaria Acting Deputy Clerk, ( Legislative), Kamoru Ogunlana, Director Committee Services Department. Boniface Emenalo Director Table Duty. Ochigbo Abel Daniel, Director Appropriation Department. Asuqui Afangideh Director Management Services Department. Ahmadu Mahmdu Jarau Director Public Account Department, Idris Mora, Director Legislative Scrutiny, Abubakar Chana Director Journal.
The occasion which was very colourful was well attended by committee clerks of the House and some family friends of the celebrant. The participants at the occasion commended the celebrant for being being examplary in character and conduct and her contributions while serving in the House.
They urged her to carry the same spirit to her new office but appeal to her to use her privilege position to always make a case for the address of some of the peculiar challenges of the House in the meeting if the top management of the National Assembly.
The participants concluded that even though they will miss her but they wish her well in her new appointment and future endeavours.
