A Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ogun State, Chief Foluso Craig has applauded the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde for his giant strides in the administration of the state and the leadership role he has been playing in repositioning the Party in the South West Zone.
Chief Craig, gave the kudos to the helmsman of the state, in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja on Monday.
Chief Craig, a former Director at the PDP National Secretariat, stated that Gov. Makinde’s various achievements in office within the last one year, had shown that PDP actually had meaningful and people-oriented programmes.
He added that Governor Makinde being the only elected Governor on the platform of the Party in the Zone, has made efforts to reconcile aggrieved Party members, which has already been yielding excellent results, as aggrieved foundation members are gradually returning to the party.
According to him, “Governor Makinde is an epitome of good governance, we should be happy to have him as the PDP Ambassador in the South West, with what he is doing, I can convinently say our Party will make waives in future elections in the Zone.
“PDP will not only retain Oyo State going by Governor Makinde’s giant strides of good governance and leadership roles, we will spring surprises starting from the Ondo State election slated for this Saturday, to the neiboughimg Ekiti State Governorship Election coming up in 2022 and then the 2023 General Elections”
He the appealed to party leaders and supporters in the zone to rally support for Governor Makinde to enable him to succeed in taking the party in the South West to the next level before the 2023 general elections.
Chief Craig, also urged Governor Makinde to remain focused and not to be distracted in his determination to provide good governance for the people of the state and good leadership for the Party in the Zone in general, saying that he remains the undistiputed symbol of the Party in the Zone
