Following the alleged assault on the great Nigerian musician Yinka Aiyefe by men of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, the officer involved has been arrested and put behind bars.
The investigation on the matter has since commenced by the management of NSCDC with a view to punishing those involved in the alleged attack.
On the part of the NSCDC it was reliably gathered that the officers involved are already facing punishment before the determination of their case.
It was gathered that NSCDC frowned at the unruly behaviour of the officer involved and if care is not taken he may faced summarily dismissal as to set e as determent to others with such character.
The reason, according to source close to NSCDC is to put a stop to bad behaviour and to maintain cordial relationship with the public, NSCDC by it’s Act is to ensure the protection of public and their property and not to constitute themselves as nuscance.
But eyewitness account revealed that Yinka Ayefele gave the office blow before he retaliated, it was revealed that hoodlums swung on Ayefele begging for money and men of the NSCDC gave him protection for him to escape by clearing road for him.
In the process, one of the overzealous officers approached him for monitry gained which elicited a dirty slap from Aiyefele. Without letting the slap cold the office returned his own and this drew attention of the onlookers
Sensing danger ahead. Aiyefele’s driver quickly manovered the car and zoomed off from the crowd.
