…Residents to vacate vicinity.
For the effective coordination of the ongoing response to the unfortunate explosion, which occurred in Bodija area of Ibadan,Oyo state,yesterday ,the government established an emergency situation room.
The Committee is headed by Professor Temitope Alonge who also coordinated the Covid 19 activities in the state during the pandemic.
According to a statement from the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr Suliamon Olanrewaju: “the search and rescue operations persisted through the night.
Updates from the Emergency Situation Room will be shared with the public via media outlets and official government accounts.

However, residents living within the vicinity were all advised to avoid the scene of the incident and to dial 615 free in case of an emergency.
Meanwhile, business activities have commenced at the Ace Mall,Bodija area of the city.
Although the government earlier declared that the explosion was caused by explosives in a residential building but security experts are yet to clarify the statement.
