Ekiti State executive council has approved the proposal of the State Ministry of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy to build a new Arts and Cultural Centre. The professionally conceptualised and uniquely designed edifice is sited at the piece of land contiguous to the Old Water Works Ureje in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital. In an interview with the Commissioner, Prof Rasaki Ojo Bakare, who is the mastermind of this project, he says: ” we are grateful to the Governor, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, who is supporting us like a rock of Gilbratar. With BAO backing us, success is assured.
We are building a real Cultural village, not another usual glass house. This concept is unique and will attract visitors from all over the world”. The contract is awarded to Messrs Adedokun Alade and Company led by the renowned Engineer Folusho Alade and is to be completed in seven months.
