A Non Governmental Organization, Kim’s Care And Support Foundation has donated drone and motorcycles to the Nigeria Hunter and Forest Security Service, NHFSS, to enhance its operation in the fight against human trafficking in Plateau State.
Commissioning the motorcycles and the drone at the NHFSS Headquarters in Abuja for operational usage in Plateau State, the Commander General of NHFSS, Ambassador Dr Joshua Osatimehin thanked the Organization for appreciating and identifying with the Service in the task of tackling crimes in the State.
Ambassador Osatimehin said the gesture would also go a long way in combating banditry, kidnapping and other forms criminality in Plateau.
According to him, the motorcycles and the drone will enable officers and men of the Command to navigate the forest whenever there is any case of security breaches most especially kidnapping by dislodging those criminals that make use of the forest to perpetrate their evil act in the State.
He reiterated the commitment of NHFSS in supporting the State Government in its quest to overcome security challenges and ensuring effective protection of lives and property of people of the State through making forest unsafe for unpatriotic citizens in the State.
The Commander General therefore advised officers and men of Plateau State Command of NHFSS to make judicious use of the motorcycles towards achieving the set objectives in the area of security.
Ambassador Osatimehin also called for the support of other corporate bodies and organizations to NHFSS to enable the country overcome its security challenges.
He used the opportunity to once again appealed to President Bola Tinubu to sign the NHFSS Bill before him into law towards realizing his renewed hope agenda in the area securing the lives and property of Nigerians.
Ambassador Osatimehin explained that the Service had already been positioned through effective training of his officers and men in the fight against crimes most especially in forest across the country.
The Commander General called on all officers and men of NHFSS nationwide to be committed to their duties and shun acts detrimental to the objectives of the Service
