The President of Kabba Community Association Sir Johnson Jimoh has challenged the sons and daughter of Kabbaland to be more serious and determine in developing and making the community great.
Speaking at the Christmas party organised for sons and daughter of Kabba in Abuja by the association held at Kapital Apartment, Asokoro Abuja, the president believed that through concerted efforts a lot could be achieved for a community and people to live a good life.
According to him, “let me on behalf of members of Kabba Community Association in Abuja challenged all the other affiliates of KDU and other notable individual to rise up to the great task ahead in one accord and join force together to build our fatherland into a paradise for self and for our children yet unborn”.
” l have no illusions about the ability of our people to rise up to the occasion in a very big way to make Oweland great, peaceful and conducive for comfortable living. That is what we hope for and believe will be”, he stated.
Reeling out what the association did for people in the year under review, the president explained that eduction and health were very Germain to the association hence the donation of 120 bed sheets and pillow cases to Kabba General Hospital, donation of 300 custom-made exercise books to selected primary schools in Kabba.
The association also donated 30 units of orthopaedic mattresses to General Hospital, Kabba as well as uniforms, materials and equipment to the Vigilante group of Kabba.
The president stated further that the association renovated block of two classroom at the Kabba Community Secondary, Kakun at the cost of #1.4 million and the provision of motorized borehole to Aiyedun Egunbe aming other, he disclosed.
Vice President of the association, Mrs Florence Abedayo in her speech commended every member of the association for their contribution towards sustaining the association to this level and the contributions made so far to the development of Oweland.
According to her, little efforts made towards develop our area is something of joy and call for celebrations especially during this yelutide and urged members to continue to contribute their quota so that there could be enough resources to achieve our aims and desire.
