The Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Mr Bitrus Jisalo has felicitated Christians on the occasion of this year’s Christmas celebration.
In his Christmas message in Abuja, Mr Jisalo admonished them to use the occasion in rededicating their lives towards the service of God and humanity.
He also urged christians to always emulate the teachings of Jesus Christ in all their endeavour to enable the celebration of His birth to be meaningful in their lives.
The Minister equally stressed the need for Christians to use the period of the Christmas celebration in praying for Continuous peace, unity and progress of the country.
According to him, the present administration under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu is committed to repositioning the country for greatness through his eight points strategic plans and renewed hope agenda.
While expressing the confidence for a better days ahead, Mr Jisalo enjoined all Nigerians to be patient as their socioeconomic aspirations would be met through various laudable programmes put in place by President Bola Tinubu’s led administration.
“The President has the capacity to make sure that Nigeria move forward by ensuring that the citizens have food on their table, have good education, efficient healthcare delivery, security of lives and property, welfare packages, job opportunities and poverty reduction among others hence the need for every citizens irrespective of tribes, political and religion differences to believe in the Renewed Hope agenda of Mr President towards ensuring a better and progressive country ” He explained.
The Minister emphasized the need for all religious groups not to relent in praying for national peace and economic development noting that the task of reforming the country required the support of all and sundry.
Meanwhile, the Minister had received All Progressives Congress, APC’s stalwarts, traditional rulers and physically impaired sportsmen in the Federal Capital Territory who came to felicitate with him over the yuletide.
He used the opportunity to solicit their support for the present administration ‘s renewed hope agenda.
