The Minister in charge of First Baptist Church, Gwagwalada Abuja, Reverend Deji Oyelami has called on Christian Fathers not to faith in God amidst current economic challenges confronting the country.
Reverend Oyelami made the call in his sermon to mark this year’s Father’s Day Celebration of the Church in Gwagwalada Abuja
Taking his bible reading from the book of Judges chapter 6 verse 12 and Philippians 2:13, the Baptist Cleric described the current situation as temporary hence the need for Fathers to keep hope alive in God and not man.
He equally admonished them to always shun acts that could deny them of God’s blessings in their endeavour.
While urging Christian Fathers not to relent in providing for their families, Reverend Oyelami stressed the need for them to continue to be Ambassadors of Christ wherever they found themselves.
According to him, Christianity is not bread and butter as Christians are bound to face challenges in life but they should learn to cheer up as Jesus Christ is capable of solving their problems only if they believe and confess Him as their personal Lord and Saviour.
