The former Deputy Senate Leader and a prominent chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),Senator Abdul Ahmed Ningi has applauded the delegates to the Bauchi State Congress for their matured,orderly, peaceful and transparent manner in which the exercise was conducted.
This is so as the Bauchi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)at its state Congress elected new executives that will pilot the affairs of the party for the next four years.
Senator Ningi who made the commendation while speaking with our correspondent shortly after the PDP state congress held on Saturday at Multipurpose hall, Bauchi also congratulated the new executive members of the party in the state.
The former Gubernatorial aspirant
used the occasion to advise those given the mandate to pilot the affairs of the party in the state in the coming years to always ensure that “the party’s interests comes first before personal interest”.
According to him,” You can see that the Congress is very peaceful and orderly. I must say that I am impressed with the transparent manner in which the exercise was conducted, the atmosphere is friendly and hitch free “.
Meanwhile, two months to the local governments elections in Bauchi state, the state chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has elected its new executives that will pilot the affairs of the party for the next four years.
The congress which held on Saturday at Multipurpose hall Bauchi saw the incumbent chairman of the party, Alhaji Hamza Koshe Akuyam re-elected for the second time after scoring about 3, 000 votes in an unopposed contest, just as other executives also returned unopposed.
Speaking on behalf of the elected officials of the party, the state chairman, Akuyam promised to work towards the betterment of the party in the state.
While thanking party members for giving them another mandate, Akuyam said that they will consolidate on the democratic dividends so far provided by PDP led administration in the to further take the state to greater heights.
He called on the party faithfuls and stakeholders not to relent on drawing their attention whenever they err so as to have a smooth operation of the party in the state.
While promising to be transparent in the discharge of their responsibilities, the party chairman reminded his colleagues that justice is the backbone of peace in every setting and hence, the need to embrace it.
Also speaking, the state governor Bala Mohammad represented by his deputy, Baba Tela, commended the delegates for exhibiting high sense of maturity during the exercise.
“The government of Bauchi state and indeed his excellency, requires nothing from you but loyalty and cooperation to move the state forward”. He said.
The governor commended the chairman and members of the congress deployed from Abuja to conduct the congress for job well done.END
