Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has applauded his counterpart of Plateau State, Governor Simon Bako Lalong over developmental projects executed in his state.

The governor who made the commendation while speaking at the 25th priestly silver jubilee of the Most Reverend Hilary Nanman Danchalem, the Catholic Bishop of Bauchi Diocese held in Bauchi Thursday urged clergymen not to relent in telling politicians the truth..

Governor Mohammed said Northern Nigeria is proud with the leadership style of Governor Simon Bako Lalong as Chairman of the Northern Governors Forum.

At the occasion, the governor requested clergymen not to relent in telling politicians the truth in order to enable them deliver their campaign promises accordingly.

According to him,” I am here with my leader, Governor Simon Lalong who is giving us good leadership in the Northern Governors Forum. Northern Nigeria is proud of you, what you are doing in building bridges will never be forgotten.”

“We must to have religious tolerance and respect ourselves, the youths that are on street is not because of their wishes, but it is manifestation of failure of leadership recruitment because we are not able to provide employment to them.”

Governor Mohammed pledged to support the proposed establishment of college of Health by the church in Bauchi so as to assist his administration in addressing the challenges facing healthcare delivery.

On his part, the Chairman of Northern Governors Forum who is the Governor of Plateau State, Mr Simon Bako Lalong commended the celebrant for his contributions towards the societal development especially in the area of promotion of peace.

Earlier, the celebrant, Most Reverend Hilary Nanman Danchalem, the Catholic Bishop of Bauchi Diocese thanked Governor Bala Mohammed for his support and respect to religious groups in the state. END
