Contrary to its earlier resumption date of next Tuesday, June 2, 2020, both chambers of the National Assembly are expected to resume on Thursday.
A memo from the office of the Clerk to the NASS, Mohammed Sani-Omolori informed the lawmakers to resume for plenary tomorrow to enable “members consider the Appropriation (Amendment) Bill 2020.”
Checks revealed that the leadership of both chambers has since received copies of the N10.596trillion amended 2020 budget proposal.
A delegation led by the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed met with Committees of Finance, Budget and National Planning of both chambers last week to discuss details of the amended budget.
