Bauchi State Hypertension and Paralysis Foundation has appointed the Senior Special Assistant on Media to the state Governor, Comrade Mukhtar Gidado as its honorary patron.
The Chairman of the Foundation, Tijjani Yusuf Aliyu announced this Wednesday when he paid a courtesy visit to the Governor’s Media Aide in his office at the Government House Bauchi.
Speaking while receiving the appointment letter alongside an award of excellence, Comrade Mukhtar Gidado expressed gratitude to the foundation for finding him worthy of the honour.
He expressed satisfaction with the programmes initiated by the foundation aimed at providing basic medical services to less privileged members of the society.
The Governor’s Media Aide while intimating members of the foundation on some of the achievements of Governor Bala Mohammed in critical sectors of the economy, reassured of the total commitment of the Press Directorate towards propagating the laudable projects of the Governor.
He recalled that, on assumption of office, the Governor has designed a robust blueprint which covered the areas that required urgent attention.
” I want to use this medium to intimate you on some of the remarkable achievements of our boss, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bauchi state, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, Kauran Bauchi in the sectors of Health, Education, Agriculture, Women and Youth Empowerment among others.
“As you are aware, His Excellency knows the level of decay and dilapidation of infrastructure, he embarked on revolution in physical infrastructure as part of government’s efforts to tackle the challenges facing the state.”
” The formation of your Foundation is a timely and we look forward for your support to the administration of Kauran Bauchi in the delivery of health services to our people.”
Comrade Muktar Gidado who was surprised with the honor done to him by the foundation, pledged to reciprocate the gesture by giving the needed inputs for the foundation to achieve the set objectives.
He used the medium to appeal to citizens of the state to consider very important, regular medical checkup for immediate treatment.
“On the award of excellence you presented to me, i dedicated it to the entire Management and Staff of the Press Directorate because of their support and cooperation to me.”
Also speaking, the patron of the foundation, Dr Fahmi Fakhr said the foundation is working with critical stakeholders to enhance healthcare system and to provide essential services to people.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Foundation, Tijjani Yusuf Aliyu said the award of excellence presented to the SSA Media is in recognition of his outstanding performance in the discharge of his assigned responsibilities.END
