Bishop Taiwo dies at 65

  The Rt.-Rev. Foluso Taiwo, former Director of Communication, Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion and Bishop of Oke-Osun Diocese is dead.
His son, Tobi Taiwo, disclosed this on Wednesday in a statement sent to Anglican Cable Network Nigeria (ACNNTV), that his father passed on at 1.15 a.m., at Babcock Hospital Sagamu.
He was 65 years.
Bishop Taiwo, who died at the age of 65, was consecrated Bishop on Sept. 24, 2019 in Asaba by the immediate past Primate of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, His Grace Nicholas Okoh.
Taiwo, before he became bishop, was the Director of Communication, Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion and the Vicar at Church of the Holy Cross, Wuye District, Abuja.
He was a notable broadcaster, who started his media career since 1980 at Radio Nigeria, Ibadan, as a freelance journalist and newscaster.
He grew in his field working in several media outfits including Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS), a pioneer staff of Osun State Broadcasting Corporation (OSBC) before he was transferred to Abuja to continue his pastoral ministry.
Bishop Taiwo’s last outing in Abuja was the last General Synod of the  Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion  that took place on 21 to 25, Sept. at the Headquarters office of the Church the  of Nigeria’s Episcopal House, Mathias House Gudu, Abuja.
He served as a Canon and Archdeacon of the Diocese of Abuja; he remained a media practitioner and was soon made the General Manager of Crowder Radio Station (Love FM), Abuja.

He became the Director of Communication and later a newscaster at the Anglican Cable Network Nigeria ACNN TV.
