NGO commends Hajara Kadiri for contribution to society

 

The President, Women of Worth, a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) Mrs Comfort Adesoye has commended Barr. Hajara Kadiri for her immence contribution to the society.


Mrs Adesoye who gave the commendation at the Women Development Centre,Abuja while presenting awards to deserving Nigerians who have touched lives of fellow human beings in several ways , noted that Barr. Kadiri’s desposition to those she has come in contact with should be emulated. Barr. Kadiri who works with  the Federal Housing Authority (FHA) was commended for her zeal,dedication to duty,compassion and uncommon ability to mobilize those around her both at work and out of work.
She noted that the award marked the beginning of ‘ women celebrating women’ in the country.


Her words: “We were only able to award a few women today but there are lots of silent people who have been outstanding in their various endeavours whom we appreciate for contribution to society.”

The Director Programmes and International Relations of Women of Worth, Mrs Betty Oluntunde explained that the event was organsied to celebrate women who have made a difference in the society and to spur them to do more.

Some of the awardees are the Wife ofthe President, Dr. Aisha Buhari, Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen, Wife of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Mrs Foluke Adeboye, Wife of the governor of Bauchi state,Hadjia Aisha Bala and a former Broadcaster, Moji Makanjuola among others.
