The standard flag bearer of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Ekiti state, Chief Segun Oni has sent a hearty congratulatory message to the newly elected Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a statement by the Chairman, Media Advisory Council, Segun Oni Campaign Organisation (SOCO), Moses Jolayemi, Oni described Tinubu as ” a detribalised leader and an astute politician of a formidable political trajectory.
Oni further stated that Tinubu truly deserves his party’s confidence as demonstrated with a convincing win of 1, 271 over the 316 votes of Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi who came second in the APC presidential primary.
The Vice-president, Prof Yemi Osinbajo came third with 235 votes.
While wishing Tinubu success in the task ahead, Oni said the myriad of problems confronting the nation at this time needs attention from leaders who are not only Oni Congratulates Tinubu as APC Flagbearer but possess the necessary political will and vision to unite the nation across all ethnic and religious lines in order to restore the fast dwindling fortunes of our great country.
