Kamaru usman, UFC welterweight champion, may try out in a new flick his acting skills in a role as Black Panther wakanda forever by movie makers, Disney Marvel studios. The movie to premiered in November, will be usman first film exposure and confirms his love for the comic book superhero, dating back to 2018.
** Actors Guild of Nigeria, says it cannot raise ransom for the two members of the group kidnapped in Enugu recently. The kidnappers of Cynthia okereke and clemson cornell were asking for 100 million dollars.
** President, Association of Bureaux De change operators of Nigeria, Alhaji Aminu Gwadabe, has appealed to the Central Bank of Nigeria to float the Naira to steam its slide. He says CBN should do what is necessary to sustain injection of dollar into the market to aid reversal of loss in the value of the Naira at the parallel market.

** November 7 to 13 has been confirmed as official dates for Nigeria’s iconic Festival, National Festival for Arts and Culture to be held in lagos, and dubbed Eko Nafest.

**The 7th Nigeria innovation summit comes up Tuesday October 4th to Saturday October 8th 2022. **An African social agency CRTVE Development says it is building a pan African voice with climate justice ahead of the United Nations Climate summit (COP 207). It says the campaign will offer young African persons opportunities to speak their minds, lead the conversation and share their solution towards changing climate change narrative in Africa
** The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) says that Lagos state has recorded 17 monkey pox cases and 1 death. It has earlier warned of the rising cases of COVID 19 in its 5th wave ravaging through the city of Lagos. ** Nigeria is expected to put up a strong cultural display as Jamaica marks her 60th anniversary which runs from July 31st to August 7th this year. Nigeria is expected to showcase her culture in drama, poems and dance.
