The pioneer Dean of Postgraduate School, Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, Prof Rasaki Ojo Bakare is winning praises and respect for Nigeria at the ongoing World largest Festival of Arts and Culture hosted by India. OJO, who is also the first Professor of Dance Choreography and Performance Aesthetics in Africa, was also the former Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Tourism, Ekiti State, is the leader of the Nigerian delegation to the Festival,with the performances of the Nigerian team attracting rave media reviews in India, which made the Indian National Television to create a daily spotlight show for the Nigerian Troupe.
According to reports, over fourty Foreign Countries are participating in the arts fiesta and the performances of the Nigerian team are conspicuously dominating the performance space. In a telephone chat with some members of the Troupe, they shower glowing tributes on the depth of Prof Bakare’s creative genius, administrative competence and unrivalled experience in global cultural activities which Nigeria is obviously benefitting from at the ongoing Surajkund International Arts Festival in India.
Professor Rasaki Ojo Bakare, was once, Dean of Humanities and social sciences, Dean of Arts and Head of Theatre Arts, before becoming Dean of Postgraduate school at Federal University, Oye- Ekiti.
