CASHLESS POLICY: ADEKUNLE OLADIMEJI CONDEMNS BURNING OF GOVT. PROPERTIES

The People Democratic Party candidate contesting for Irepodun/Orolu State Constituency of Osun State in the forthcoming election in March 11, 2023, Hon Adekunle Oladimeji has called on the nation’s stakeholders to rise up to the occasion by addressing the present situation in the country.

Hon Oladimeji who was worried about the present economic situation, especially the issue of scarcity of cash ravaging the people urge that if care is not taken or necessary measures are being put in place to checkmate this ongoing protest in some parts of Nigeria.

According to him, It is the responsibility of the stakeholders in this country to Address the situation of the country as it stands today , this would be another End Sars if necessary and urgent action were not taken.

He however, condemned burning of banks, burning of Central Bank braches, vandalisation of government properties, saying that this would bring cash to the people but more hardship.

He said, “Burning of Banks, vandalising bank properties and Government properties is not the solution to our problems right now as they will use tax payers money to renovate or to rebuild whatever property affected.

“Let us take our anger, our grievances to the polls come Feb 25 and March 11 to decide the future of our country by electing good leaders and good representatives”.

Democracy can never be compared to any system of governance, in democracy people have freedom of speech ,freedom of protest and freedom of association, therefore. We need to guide our democracy jealously by coming out enmass to vote out bad leaders, he added .

Hon Adekunle Oladimeji however, implored the citizens of Nigeria to exercise patience with CBN, adding that this policy is for good of us all, it is for the future of Nigeria.

He noted that this policy has reduced the rate of kidnapping and terrorism in the country in recent times and that is the effect of this cashless policy .

Hon Oladimeji sympthased with suffering masses but assured them with patience and percevrance things will come to normal, adding that we might not be there yet but definitely we will get there .
