Deputy of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu has congratulated Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on his emergence as the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Kalu also congratulated Senator Ajibola Basiru who was adopted as the National Secretary of the APC.
Both leaders were adopted at the National Executive Committee meeting of the ruling party in Abuja on Thursday.
While Ganduje is the immediate past governor of Kano State, Basiru is also the senator who represented Osun Central Senatorial District in the 9th National Assembly where he chaired the Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs.
In a statement issued by Kalu’s Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Mr. Levinus Nwabughiogu, the deputy speaker described both leaders as men of wisdom and great administrative acumen.
The deputy speaker said with the political backgrounds and wealth of experience of the new helmsmen in governance, he has no iota of doubts that they will elevate the fortunes of the party.
Kalu wishes them success in their new assignment, pledging to work with them.
