Earlier, the Founder and International Coordinator of Graceful Ageing Fellowship, GRAF, Senator Eze Ajoku said the Fellowship was organized fourteen years ago to ensure the spiritual and physical growth of older persons both within and outside Nigeria.

“The essence of coming up with the GRAF fourteen years ago was bore out of the need for older persons to age gracefully, live long and healthy because I had a health experience where a Doctor told me that I needed a life time change and that made me to do what the Doctor asked me to do by eating right, exercise, rest and believe in the word of God and all the things he told me started working for me and I had spirit saying to me teach others who are suffering like you are and that led to the formation of the Ministry and since then it has been a blessing to all of us” Senator Ajoku explained.

He expressed gratitude to God for His faithfulness over the Fellowship and its members in the last fourteen years

While emphasizing the need for older persons to be closer to God in whatever they do, Senator Ajoku also enjoined them to always contribute their wealth of knowledge to national development

“My advice to all older persons out there is that when you stop working you’re inviting sickness so they should keep doing exercise , keep moving your joints because when we don’t move them they become rigid and we’ll start having pains and we are what we are today because we keep exercising so I’ll encourage every older person to key into a healthy lifestyle which is the bedrock of healthy ageing” He added

Highlights of the occasion were health talk, cutting of anniversary cake, presentation of awards and special performance by children and women among others.
