Christmas: NACHPN Felicitates Christians, Urges House of Reps To Shun Any Anti- Community Health Bills

The President of National Association of Community Health Practitioners of Nigeria, NACHPN, Comrade Kabir Yahaya Ahmed has felicitated Christians on the occasion of this year’s Christmas celebration.

In his Christmas message in Abuja, Comrade Kabir Yahaya Ahmed admonished them to use the occasion in praying for continous peace, unity and development of the country.

He used the opportunity to commend the House of Representatives for its efforts towards realizing the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu’s led administration most especially in the area of Primary Healthcare Delivery in the country.

The President of NACHPN however, urged the Lawmakers not to entertain or pass any Bill that is Anti- Primary Healthcare or Community Health in the House of Representatives.

Comrade Kabir Yahaya Ahmed also stressed the need for National Primary Healthcare Development Agency to effectively involve Community Health Practitioners in the Basic Healthcare Provision Fund where they will be engaged in manning facilities under the Fund.

According to him, Community Health Practitioners should equally be enumerated equally with any other professionals that will be engaged under the same Programme.

He commended the Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Ali Pate and his Minister for State, Dr. Tunji Raji for their efforts in restoring the lost glory of Primary Healthcare System in Nigeria.

Comrade Kabir Yahaya Ahmed therefore pledged the support of NACHPN to President Bola Tinubu’s led administration in realizing its objectives in the area of quality healthcare delivery to Nigerians. He also emphasized the need for Community Health Practitioners to always compliment the efforts of Government towards ensuring the growth of the nation’s health sectors
