Niger Foods has signed a lease agreement with the Niger State Government to develop a 30,000-hectare farm estate in Ishau District of the State in order to boost agriculture production in the state
This was contained in a statement made available to news men on the lease agreement which is the first of its kind in the anal of the State
According to the statement, the initiative is in line with Farmer Governor Umaru Bago’s commitment to establish farm estates across the 25 local government areas of the State.
The short but historic signing ceremony took place at the Palace of the Emir of Minna , Alhaji (Dr) Umar Faruq Bahago.
Speaking at the ceremony the Emir commended the agricultural revolution agenda of the Farmer Governor and pledged support for Niger Foods’ vision.
The Chairman of Niger Foods signed on behalf of the company, while the District Head of Ishau, Mr James Kwasau, represented Ishau District.
