Dr Lillian Managwu emerged as the new president of the Hospitality and Tourism Management Association of Nigeria ( Hatman) after the Elective Annual General Meeting of the Association held in Abuja last weekend.
Also saddled with the responsibility to guide association and provide direction, is Alhaji Aliyu Badaki, a former president of the association who now chairs the Board of Trustees of the prestigious hospitality Management group.
Elected with Dr Lillian Managwu, who is the first female president of the association from the academics since its inception, are Alhaji Yunusa Muhammed, first vice president, Dr Ibrahim kukoyi, second vice-president, chief Godwin Enanta, zonal chairman, Federal Capital Territory ( FCT).
Others are Alhaji salisu Talle, Zonal Chairman, North West, Dr Ndidi Ezeibe Zonal Chairman, South East, Mrs Alheri Jibi Zim, zonal chairlady, North East, Mrs Adetola olagunju, zonal chairlady, south West, Mrs charity Abu, zonal chairlady, North Central and Mr Ademola Reuben igbo, Financial Secretary.
The Hatman new exco is includes, Prince Ayodele Arokoyo as Assistant Secretary, Mr. Chimezie Mike, Publicity Secretary, Dr Ebikaboere Seimodei, zonal chairlady, South South region, and Mrs felicia Peters as national Tressurer
Dr Lillian Managwu, in her acceptance speech, promised to take association to greater heights, urging the newly elected members of the executive to bring their wealth of experience to bear in providing leadership in the industry.
” we shall work hard , very hard to justify this confidence and trust in our new leadership. Even though we can’t do it all alone, we shall lead by example, intentionally committed to sacrificially growing our association and to a large extent the entire industry through collaboration and partnerships.” She explained further during her post election acceptance speech.
