A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress APC in Ondo State Mrs Seun Bosede Osamaye (Eyeomo) has said that the development of any Community worldwide should be the responsibility of every citizen in that Community, saying that no government no matter how benevolent could provide everything for the citizens.
Mrs Osamawe stated this while speaking last Saturday at Ilara-Mokin,, Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State at the 44th year Anniversary of the Mokin Day Celebration and Launching Of Five Hundred Million Naira Fund Raising For Developmental Projects In the Community.
According to her ” if we all play our parts in community development without waiting for government, then our society will be better and the people will be happy citizens ”
Government alone, be it Federal, State, or at the Local level can not do it alone, as individual Associations or groups, we have to contribute our quota to provide certain things in our Communities to compliment with whatever is coming to us from the government .
“We should take interest in the process of our Communities and contribute our quota , Government can not do everything because there are always many other communities begging for attention from the Government, this is the only way we can witness development
She commended the traditional ruler and the people of the community for the various developmental projects Executed and in progress in the area, saying that this would further encouraged the government to do more in the area.
The APC Chieftain and grassroots politician appreciated the traditional ruler and the people of the town for the rare privilege accorded her to be the Chairperson of this year’s Mokin Day celebration.
According to her, “It is my greatest delight to point out that this year’s Mokin Day is the first of its kind which takes place in the month of November where all Ilara Mokin sons and daughters from all over the world gathers to celebrate and also embark on developmental project for the community.
