The Association of Ekiti State Nigerian Law School Students, Abuja Campus has lauded the Governor of Ekiti State Dr Kayode Fayemi for his human capital development in the area of legal education.
In a release signed by Mr Tunde Olofin, President, Ekiti State Indigenes, Nigerian Law School., Abuja Campus and made available to the media, Dr Fayemi was described as a destiny helper and an agrarian developer of human capital.
He pointed out that ‘ it is expedient for us to acknowledge the past support and commitment on the part of Dr John Kayode Fayemi to Ekiti State indigenes who have passed through the legal labyrinth of the Nigerian Law School.
Mr Olofin revealed that ” We are delighted by the reports and testimonies of efficient and effective administration of bursary for Ekiti State Indigenes who are at the Nigerian Law School by Dr Kayode Fayemi, which has not only lessened the financial burden of the students but sometimes served as the saving valve for the realisation of dreams for both the students and their parents.
He pointed out that the bursary being paid by Ekiti State Government to Law students is a testimony of Governor Fayemi’s deep interest in capacity development, humanitarian service and shoring up the deficiency in the legal sector.
Mr Olofin pointed out that the bursary has a great import on the academic performance of the students as it helps in catering for other expenses like the acquisition of books, paying for coaching sessions, feeding and transportation.
‘This psychological relief has a positive effect on academic performance at the Bar Final as most students particularly the indigents ones. are saved from distraction arising from a dearth of fund’
Olofin said that it was on record that Governor Fayemi has been faithful in this ethical policy at paying a proportionate amount as a bursary to assist Ekiti indigenes in Nigerian Law School and prayed that this noble and commendable precedent will outlive his tenure.
