Oyetola flags off Joint Task Force Against Kidnapping, Cultism and Illegal Mining

“In furtherance of our commitment to rid Osun of all criminialities and guarantee security and safety of our people, I, this afternoon, flagged off the Joint Task Force Against Kidnapping, Cultism and Illegal Mining in the State of Osun.

“Security is key to all we do as a government because it’s only in a secure atmosphere that our Development Agenda can be achieved and our outcomes protected. We’ll provide adequate security for our economic and investment programmes so that our vision to turn Osun into an economic hub can be realised.

“The Joint Task Force is a collaboration of the Army, the Police, the Air Force, the DSS, the NSCDC and the Immigration Service, and it shall provide operational support for Amotekun to fight cultism, kidnapping, illegal mining and other related crimes.

“I charged the JTF officials to embrace their tasks with all sense of patriotism, integrity and diligence. I also enjoined them to work together as a team and eschew all acts that can compromise their calling and effectiveness, including bribery, corruption, high-handedness and executive recklessness”.
