COVID-19: Taraba Youths set Mobile Courts ablaze, attack Judges

Irate youths attacked Mobile court judges sitting in Dubeli along Wukari-Jalingo road in Tella town of Gassol local government area of Taraba state and disrupted their activities for this day.

The three judges were seriously pummeled by the Youths who came in their numbers disrupting the seating of the court, as the judges ran into a nearby sugar cane farm to hide for their there lives.

Sources close to the crisis revealed that the security personnels Police, NSCDC, guarding the proceedings of the court ran away as they could not contain the attackers.

It was also revealed that in Jalingo that the irate Youth appeared from no where and started beating judges of the mobile court, adding that the youth in their numbers destroyed proceedings papers and other documents before chasing away the judges and other officials as well as money realized during the seating.

Investigation by Nigerian Pilot revealed that police in the area have began manhunt of the irate youths with a view to prosecute them.

Confirming the issue the Police spokesman in Taraba, DSP David Misal confirmed the incident saying youth Tella resisted mobile court settings as the situation was brought under control.
