Crisis in the National Assembly deepened following the moves by the Chairman of National Assembly to seal off the office of the Clerk to the National Assembly as follow up to the sacking of Mr Ataba Omolori and 149 others affected by the new condition of service.
The Commission last Wednesday issued a circular to retire the 149 staff and Mr Omolori and on a swift reaction, Omolori issued a release that staff should discountenance the circular because the Commission has no right to reverse the resolutions of both Chambers.
This morning it was reliably gathered that the office of the Clerk to the National Assembly was sealed off to pave way for the incoming Clerk that would be named very soon.
