AA Ready For Local Government Election In Ogun State, Elects Candidates

The Action Alliance (AA) has elected its Chairmanship and councillorship candidates for the forthcoming local government election in Ogun State at a primary held at the party secretariat in Abeokuta.

The primaries was in line with rules and regulations of the Ogun State Independence Electoral Commission, (OGSIEC) which was supervised by the commission officials.

The chairmanship candidates elected to contest under the umbrella of the party include; Lateef Akinboro(Ifo local government), Okufeso Adeoye,(Odogbolu local government), Akinpelu Ishola and (Yewa South local government.

Penpushing further reports that, in similar vein, the councilorship candidates elected under the platform of the party are Princess Adebiyi Olubunmi , Agbado ward four, Ifo local government, Amos Olawunmi, Yewa south ward one, Dawodu Olumayowa, Abeokuta North local government ward 16, Adepena Temitope,Yewa south local government ward two, Adeniji Akeem,Ijebu Ode ward 8, Gbade Babatunde, Coker ward 10 , Ifo local government, Kuforiji Abiola, Ijebu Ode local government ward 7 and Adekunle Oyedele, Odeda local government ward 3.

The chairman of electoral body, Barrister Babatunde Osibodu who was represented by Tunji Akoni along side with administrative officer Mr Mabadeje assured the candidates that, the local government election is going to be free, fair, and transparent.

“Be rest assured that, your votes will count as the election is going to free, fair, and transparent. Don’t involve in political hooliganism, or electioneering violence, whatever you think is going wrong with you don’t hesitate to report to the OGISIEC office”, he emphasised.

The State Chairman of the party Hon.Sanyaolu Ayobami in his remarks appreciated the members and official of electoral commission, urging all members of the party to embrace peace and unity during and after the election in the state.
