Eid-el-Kabir: Rep Wole Oke urges Nigerians To Celebrate With Modesty, peaceful coexistence

The Member representing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency of Osun State, Dr Busayo Oluwole Oke (Osun-PDP ) has felicitated with his Constituents and the Muslim Community in the country on this year’s Eid-el-Kabir Celebration and urged them to celebrate with modesty, be law abiding and to show commitment, empathy and sacrifice which the scared season exemplified.

In a statement made available to news men on Tuesday to commemorate the occasion, Dr Oke said,. ” I wish all our Muslim brothers and sisters, especially my constituents in Obokun Oriade Federal Constituency of Osun State, and the entire Muslim Community in the country a very happy Eid-El-Kabir celebration.

Oke who is the Chairman of the House Committee on Public Accounts, urged Muslim faithful and other Nigerians to imbibe the lessons of sacrifice, patience and faith as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim in the cause of his earthly journey

According to him, “as we celebrate this year’s Eid-El-Kabir, I beseech my good people of Ijesa North Federal Constituency and the entire Muslim Community in the country to celebrate with modesty, be law abiding and above all, show commitment, empathy and sacrifice which this scared season exemplifies.

” At this trying period of our journey through nationhood, I urge you all to seize the opportunity which this season brings to us to promote peaceful co-existence among ourselves regardless of religion, ethnicity or political affiliation

” May the season be delightful and the moments therein be joyous for all of us and may the years ahead be fruitful for your home and family. May Allah bless you all immensely. Amen”

The Lawmaker expressed the optimism that with all hands on the deck to finding lasting solutions to the maltifaceted challenges confronting the country, Nigeria would regain her seeming lost glory in the comity of Nations.
