Oil magnate lauds TAJBank for expanding the drive for non-interest banking services

Auwalu Rano, an oil Magnate and Chairman A.A. Rano Nigeria Limited, a major oil marketing company,  has commended the management of TAJBank for its commitment to expanding access to the bank’s products and services.

Rano,  who gave the commendation on Wednesday while commissioning TAJBANK’s business office in Abuja, observed that the foremost non-interest lender was prioritising its effort to make financial services available to millions of Nigerians.

He said that the bank,  within two years of its debut in the non-interest banking sector, had redefined the concept of interest-free financial services through innovative,  grassroots-oriented  products and services.

Rano added that commissioning of the  business office in Abuja was a further indication that TAJBank was committed to taking banking services closer to the people.

“We have been monitoring your efforts to solve the challenges of small and medium enterprises and reduce high cost of banking among ordinary Nigerians.

“We are proud of your determination to end the pains of this hitherto underserved Nigerians in your areas of operation.

“Today’s commissioning of your business office in Abuja is a clear demonstration of your commitment to taking banking services closer to people at the grassroots, ” he said.

Rano expressed the readiness of his organisation to partner with TAJBank so as to make interest-free banking attractive to players in the downstream sector of Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.

“We hope to tell more of our business colleagues about the superior service delivery that TAJBank is offering,  which other banks are not offering, ” he said.

Meanwhile,  Chairman of the board of TAJBank, Alh. Isiaku Gwamna, has said that the business office was aimed at ensuring that customers and potential depositors could easily access the bank’s interest-free banking services.

Gwamna expressed the bank’s commitment to consistently support business owners and ordinary Nigerians to “bank without tears” and get value for their transactions.

He expressed the readiness of the board and management of TAJBank to partner with Rano and other players in the petroleum sector in the quest to meet their banking expectations.

“We are here today to further tell Nigerians that TAJBank is out to serve them better. As we have always maintained, we do not have any interest than the interest of our customers.

“So, we are very happy to partner A.A. Rano in this new drive to serve the downstream oil sector players in view of the increasing need to meet their expectations for better and interest-free banking services.
