…says I remain Candidate to beat at poll
The House of Representatives and Governoship Aspirant under the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ekiti State,, Hon Richard Olufemi Bamishile on Wednesday dismissed a report making the round that he accompanied another aspirant, the immediate past Secretary to the Ekiti State Governmenent Mr . Biodun Oyebanji, to the National Secretariat of the Party in Abuja to obtain the latter’s nomination form for the forthcoming coming Governoship Election in the state.
This was contained in a statement made available to news men in Abuja, in a reaction to a report making the round with a group photograph showing the entourage of the former SSG to the APC National Secretariat, with man resembling the lawmaker and which the report claimed to be the lawnmaker
Hon Bamishile, who is also an Aspirant from the South Senatorial District of the State, declared that he was amazed by such a mischievous and misleading report when his supporters and well wishes started calling him to find out what actually went amaze for him to have involved in such a arediculous ACT without their knowledge.
According to him, ” This is mischievous and unfounded propaganda targeted against my personality which is bound to fail, I was in my office at the House of Representatives wing of the Natiional Assembly preparing for the day”s plenary session when my attention was drawn to trash, I could believe this until I saw the fake photograph with my name boldly written as man who truly resemble me with other Colleagues from the Nation’al Assembly but am not the person,I don’t dres like that
” This is serious matter, in the last few hours I have been receiving several phone calls from all over the places from supporters and well wishers trying to find out the true situation of things and I can no longer bear the pressure, this is why I have to come out to debunk the fake and false report mainly to gain cheap Political popularity which they will never get.
” Am very surprised that some people can be so desperate to go to this extend of Political blackmail, my appeal to those behind this dastardly act is for them to stop it immediately, this is a joke taken too far
” As a leading Aspirant from the South in the forthcoming Governorship Election in the state, remain a candidate to beat and nothing will stop me because the battle is not of me but of God”
Hon Bamishile who was a former Speaker of the State House of Assembly therefore appealed to Leadership of the Party to call those behind the campaign of calumny against his personality to order so as not to destroy the chances of the ruling APC from winning the State Governoship Election come next year
