** Godwin Emefiele, Central Bank of Nigeria governor says the e naira offers Nigerians the opportunity to deepen the use of the digital offering to enhance GROSS DOMESTIC PRODUCT ( GDP) of the country by 29 billion dollars in the next ten years. He explained that merchants such as super markets, fuel stations,, e commerce and other businesses have significant growth roles to play in pushing the E Naira to improve cash management and make savings in operating costs.

** The olota of ota kingdom, Professor Adeyemi 0balanlege has called on the federal government to hands off maintenance and ownership of federal roads to state governments in order to check deterioration of such roads. He attributed the bad conditions of federal roads in ogun state, particularly in ota axis to the delay by the federal government to repair and maintain the roads, which would have been easily fixed by the state government.

** Nigeria hyper inflation has led to a drop gross domestic product growth rate to 3.54 percent in the second quarter of 2022 from 5.01 percent of same period in 2021.Nigerian Bureau of statistics says inflation and covid pandemic impacted negatively on the Nigerian economic growth within the period in focus.

** Nigeria has unveiled a new agricultural technology and innovation policy for 2022 to 2027, to guide and drive agribusiness across the country. And to the bargain, received a 55 million dollars grant from the United States government to help mitigate the effects of food crisis ravaging the world.

** lagos state government regulations on set back car parking in the state may trigger off social dislocation as residents and corporate organisations have vowed to resist it. A set back is described as the space between parameter fencing and the walk way or road. Lagos state parking authority says such space(s) belongs to it and has gone ahead to impose levies on some organisations which has vowed to resist what they described as another taxation.

** A two day National conference on Culture, Peace, and National security, the role of media ended in kano on Wednesday. It was put together by National Institute for Cultural Orientation ( NICO). ** International Air Transport Association ( IATA) says Nigeria bold step to breathe new air on release of funds for tickets sales of foreign Airlines operating in Nigeria, should be emulated by other African countries. Nigeria had in response to concerted calls by National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies ( nanta) , IATA and other stakeholders in the aviation sector, released 265 million dollars out of the trapped funds of the airlines.
