** An e library and view centre will be located in the new Culture House, which will be unveiled this month by Otunba Segun Runsewe, Director General, National Council for Arts and Culture ( NCAC). The e- library is part of the gains of Runsewe’s recent trip to China. It will be deployed to capture and showcase Nigeria diverse cultural heritage history and marketed through the electronic library to about 150 countries on the Chinese driven heritage portal.

** This afternoon in Swakopmund, Namibia, three Nigerian tech start-up entrepreneurs, Cornelius Ugwunwa, Mustapha Tijjani, and Ibukunoluwa Salau, will know who picks the top prize at 5th edition of Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Summit. The Summit is hosted by Africa Tourism Partners in collaboration with the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (Unwto). Nanta President and CEO Topaz Travels, Mrs Susan Akporiaye, drives the youth tourism initiative in Nigeria and is in Namibia to cheer up the three Nigerian finalists. Frank Meke, CEO of Creative Nigeria, is also at the coastal city of Swakopmund, Namibia, and will by next week Thursday, tell us what happened behind the scenes.

** Does food define a nation? Oh yes, it does, or else, the Chinese would be struggling in the consciousness of the world, but this piece is not about Chinese but its neighbours, Taiwan. The Bawan or crystal meatball of Taiwan showcases the incredible culinary skills of the people. Dating back to the 19th century, the Bawan is made of pork and bamboo shoots garnished with soy sauce, white pepper, sugar, and sweet chilli glazer. It’s said to be made exclusively from local ingredients, reflecting Taiwan and its heritage economy.
