First Baptist Church, Gwagwalada Celebrates Christmas Carol As Clergyman Wants Christians To Be Prudent During Christmas

With few days to Christmas, christians have been advised to be prudent and celebrate the occasion within their resources.

The Minister in charge of First Baptist Church, Gwagwalada Abuja, Reverend Deji Oyelamigave the advice during the Annual Christmas Carol of the Church.

He said with the current economic situation of the common sense should be applied in celebrating any occasion at this point in time.

Reverend Oyelami specifically enjoined christian women not to put their husbands in any unnecessary pressure because of Christmas celebration.

“I will like to enjoy christian women to be prudent and manage every available resources provided by their husbands in other to have a stress free Christmas celebration” Reverend Oyelami stated

According to him, the essence of Christmas is to reflect on love of Christ who gave up His crown and comfort to save human kind from the works of the devil.

“Christians need to prepare for Christmas by drawing nearer to God through personal moment of reflection on what God did for us by giving us His only begotten son to save us from all our sins” He explained.

While admonishing christians not to loose hope in the affairs of the country, Reverend Deji Oyelami expressed optimism that with Continuous prayers of the faithfuls, Nigeria would soon overcome its challenges.

“We don’t need to loose hope because the birth of Jesus Christ brings hope for the hopeless therefore there’s hope for us in whatever situation we found ourselves because Jesus came to give hope to the hopeless” the Clergyman emphasized

Reverend Oyelami stressed the need for all political office holders to be committed to the yearnings and aspirations of Nigerins by fulfilling their electioneering campaign promises to the people.
