Honouring our late mother, Madam Oluwaremilekun Osowe-Ogen, 1932-2016

Ten years ago our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother Madam Oluwaremilekun Oṣòwe-Ogen, passed on to the great beyond. To honour her timeless memory and give back to our Alma mater, we donated an Administrative Building to LA Primary School, llutitun Osooro on Friday 05 June, 2026. The building stands in her name as a befitting tribute to her enduring legacies and her belief in the power of education for societal transformation.

The state-of-the-art facility is the first of its kind in any public primary school in Ondo State. lt was commissioned by His Excellency Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, the Executive Governor of Ondo State, ably represented by the Hon. Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Igbekele Ajibefun.

To further secure the school and uplift its pupils, the Olukoya Ogen Foundation (OOF) launched a N25 Million L.A. Primary School Development Fund. The Hon. Commissioner also used the occasion to lay the foundation stone of the perimeter fencing of LA Primary which is also being sponsored by the Olukoya Ogen Foundation.

SINCERE APOLOGIES:
To our numerous supporters, mentors, colleagues, friends and family who were disappointed because they were not invited to the historic event, kindly accept my sincere apologies. It was deliberate, given the present wave of insecurity in Nigeria, we deliberately wanted to avoid putting too many people on the road at the same time. Most significantly, I wish to publicly plead for the forgiveness of HRM Oba Adedokun Abolarin, the Orangun of Oke-lla who called me this morning and vehemently expressed his anger because he was not invited. Surprisingly, he still supported the Foundation with a generous donation. Kabiyesi is an exemplar of monarchical philanthropism at its best. Permit me to re-echo Kabiyesi’s statement this morning “Unless Nigerian elites change their current fad and start giving back to society, the suffering masses will soon descend on them.” lnterestingly, the Olukoya Ogen Foundation in its almost 10 years of existence has proudly executed other legacy projects at Idepe High School, Okitipupa in 2017; at OAUSTECH in 2022 and at AFUED in 2024, among several other philanthropic initiatives.
To the glory of God, all our esteemed visitors are now safely back to their different destinations. Mama Remi lives on….
