The DG/CEO NIMC, Engr Aliyu A Aziz, has been conferred with the honorary Fellow of the Institute of Information Management by the Governing Council of the Institute.
Although the award of fellow of the Institute was conferred on Engr Aliyu A Aziz in 2018 but the investiture took place at the 10th Annual National summit in Abuja, today – 14th November, 2020.
Engr Aziz, while delivering a goodwill message on behalf of the Honourable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim (Pantami),reiterated the Federal Government’ efforts in driving digital transformation of the country through introduction of e-Governance solutions in the conduct of government business, leveraging digital identity as a key enabler of progress toward many sustainable development goals and full participation in the global digital economy.
The Theme of the summit is : e-Governance, Digital Economy & Records Management : Assessing Government Readiness on Electronic Document Management & Digitization post COVID-19.
Engr Aziz in his closing remark hoped that the Institute of Information Management would evolve a blue print for a sustainable and holistic approach towards addressing key areas of the summit theme.
