A renowned politician in Bauchi state Alhaji Uba Boris has expressed satisfaction with the performance of the executive secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) Professor Suleiman Bogoro since his appointment calling on president Muhammadu Buhari to give him higher responsibility.
Addressing Journalists Sunday, Boris who is a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state noted that Bogoro who is an indigent of the state is among the few technocrats in Buhari’s team that project the good image of the administration and the party through their services.
Butressing his points, Boris said that many higher institutions in the nation were like advanced secondary schools due to their deplorable conditions adding that Bogoro has after taking over the mantle of leadership of TETFUND brought them succour by building required structures in the schools.
“For example, the Abubakar Tatari Ali polytechnic Bauchi had dilapidated structures before, but if you go there now, you will see transformation. New blocks of classrooms, lecture halls, laboratories and hostels have been constructed by Bogoro.
“These facilitated the accreditation of its courses and introduction of new programs. It will interest you to know that the polytechnic now runs national diplomas, higher national diplomas, national certificate of education and degrees due to the provision of necessary wherewithal to the institution by Bogoro. Same have been done to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi, the federal polytechnic Bauchi and all other institutions in the country.
“In addition to that, TETFUND under Bogoro promotes research in universities and prioritizes scholarships as it awards scholarships to deserving lecturers to go to any university in the world to pursue more knowledge”. He claimed.
The APC chieftain recalled that Bogoro served twice in TETFUND opining that he deserves to be appointed into a higher position in the government.
“On behalf of the entire citizens of Bauchi state, I call on president Muhammadu Buhari to elevate Professor Suleiman Bogoro to a bigger position as he is an image maker for the administration”. He entreated. END
