ACTION ALLIANCE LEADER, DAPO ADEYEMI APPEALS TO OGUN GOV. ON SECURITY

The Ogun State Leader of Action Alliance, Hon Dapo Adeyemi has appealed to the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun to realise that his primary duty as a Governor is the security of lives and properties of the people.

The former Ogun State House of Assembly member stated this during a chat with pressmen at his residence in Ifo Local Government Area of the state.

He expressed his reservation on the level of insecurity in the state with the ordinary people now opting to have their own private guards while the affluent ones, who have the financial means engage Policemen with patrol vehicles.

The recent cases of Fulani herdsmen killing our people in some areas of Yewa North, cult activities, kidnapping and other related criminal activities in the other areas should be a cause of concern to the State Government and should rise to address the situations.

While noting the recent visit of the Governor to some of the affected areas and his meeting with some Governors from the North, the Party Chieftain appeals to the Governor to “walk his talk” of providing succour to the affected people while ensuring the supply of necessary security logistics for the Task Force team sent to the area.

Hon. Adeyemi, while commiserating with the people of the affected areas, asked them to cooperate with the members of the task force and report any suspicious movements to them. He also appealed to Gov. Dapo Abiodun to set machineries in motion to assure the people of the State of his preparedness to protect them before they resort to self help by taking the laws into their hands.
