Insecurity in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, FCT,, took a new dimension today as bandits in the early hours attacked the staff quaters of the University of Abuja located in Giri area of the metropolis
It was gathered that during the early morning raid, the banditkos successfuly abducted four staff members and unspecified number of their children
While confirming the report on the University social media page, the school social media team disclosed that the safety officers, in conjunction with security operatives, had mobilised to secure the quarters.
The school social media team also confirmed that four staff members and their children were abducted by the rampaging bandits men.

It added that efforts were being made to ensure their safe return.”
A visit the Staff Quarters showed that combined security forces including the military, Police, Department of State Services DSS, Civil Defecence and in house security personnel were already on ground to secure the Quarters while the University Authority is yet to issue any official statement
A senior Police Officer who Confirmed the story under anonymity said that efforts were being made to rescue the victims and appealed for calm.
