The delegation comprising the state governor , Prince Dapo Abiodun, the State party Chairman, Chief Sanusi and others was led by the leader of the Caucus and former governor of the state, Aremo Olusegun Osoba
The President was said to have expressed satisfaction with the rancour free procedures adopted in picking the Candidate and urged the delegation to ensure total victory for the Party at the 2027 general elections

Former governorship aspirants included, Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Ishola, Dr Jelili Kayode Amusan, Prof Iyabo.Obasanjo-Bello, Hon Gboyega Nasir Isiaka and Hon Isaq Abiodun Akinlade
